Record beating summer

It´s been a busy historic month of August, with record high temperatures upto 44-45 degrees in most parts of the Spain, which we narrowly escaped here in Cadiz. There was also the Women´s world cup in which Spain took the gold, at the misfortune of the England women´s team, although the best team did win on the night.

We won´t comment on the what happened afterwards at the presentation ceremony as I feel this is taking away from what should really be celebrated and talked about, which is that the Spanish women´s team have only been in the world cup football since 2015, and have won the championship in only 8 years.

And of course there were the summer concerts which take place every year, with artists like Rod Stewart and Simply Red taking centre stage at the Concert Music Festical in Chiclana.

Property Market Update

While July was a good month for enquiries and sales, typically August tends to slow down in tempo as practically all of Spain, and most of Europe goes on holiday, however, this August was still quite active in terms of enquiries, especially with properties that are well priced within the market. There is always the keen eyed investor looking for a good deal, or a home buyer looking to move home.

With rising temperatures and interest rates too, many people are taking a well-earned break, and we expect that September/October will start off as it usually does with a rush to secure a home before Christmas, or will the current inflationary market have an impact on that..?

Joke of the month

A man is driving down the road with a truck full of penguins. A police officer pulls him over and says, “You can’t drive around with all those penguins in your truck!
